Section A.5 Bottom Menu

By looking down in the virtual reality environment, the user can access a simply three button menu.

  • Exit (right button) - exits CalcVR

  • Main Menu (center button) - bring us a menu of CalcVR topics for user selection

  • Settings Menu (left button) - reveals a menu where the user can change CalcVR settings

Subsection A.5.2 Settings Menu

The menu allows you to alter the follow inside of CalcVR. These are presented in top down order in correlation with the picture below.

  • Volume Control - the volume of the audio inside of CalcVR can be altered here. Of course, you should check your phone volume settings before placing your phone in a virtual reality headset

  • Closed Captions - checking this box will display subtitles (closed captioning) portions of CalcVR with audio

  • Joystick Directions - the user can set which direction on their joystick will rotate an object up. (Rotational directions for down, left, and right are based off this selection also.)

  • Set Controller Buttons

    • Primary Button - this is the button used to make a click or selection

    • Zoom In Button - allows the user to set the button on the controller that zooms in on a graphical object inside CalcVR

    • Zoom Out Button - allows the user to set the button on the controller that zooms out on a graphical object inside CalcVR

  • Recenter Scene - selecting this make direction the user is currently looking the forward direction. That is, the user should be looking at the location where the visual will appear.
